Our Story
HARLYM WORLD was built from a big imagination, a love for sweet treats, and the belief that joy can be served one cup and scoop at a time. It was founded by Harlym, a 10-year-old Black girl entrepreneur from Oxford, North Carolina — a kid-powered, family-supported business showing the community what's possible when creativity, confidence, and hard work start early.
Growing up in rural Granville County, Harlym carries a mission bigger than the menu: she wants every little Black girl to know she is beautiful, smart, resilient, and capable. HARLYM WORLD is proof that founders come from everywhere — including the rural and underserved communities of North Carolina — and that you don't have to wait to start building your future.
We bring HARLYM WORLD to birthday parties, school events, church gatherings, community festivals, graduations, and neighborhood pop-ups across Oxford, Henderson, Creedmoor, Butner, Stem, and the rest of Granville County. Every event is a chance to serve up flavor and a reminder: dreams don't have an age limit.

Harlym believes food is medicine — and that great refreshments start with great ingredients. That's why HARLYM WORLD sources from Granville County and Vance County growers and suppliers whenever possible, so every cup and bowl carries a little of home with it.
We also offer lower-sugar and diabetic-friendly options alongside our signature flavors, so guests with dietary needs never have to sit out the celebration. When you book us, just tell us about any wellness considerations — sugar-conscious, allergy-aware, kid-sized portions — and we'll customize the bar to fit your crowd.
Our menu is prepared in a kitchen that handles the nine major food allergens recognized by the U.S. FDA — milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame — along with other common ingredients. While we do our best to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee that any item is completely free from cross-contact with these allergens. Do you travel outside Granville County?
Yes! We primarily serve Oxford, Henderson, Creedmoor, Butner, Stem, and the surrounding Granville County area. Travel beyond that may include a small mileage fee — just ask when you book.
What's the minimum order or booking fee?
For events and pop-ups, contact us with your date and guest count and we'll send a quote. We're flexible for small parties and community gatherings.
Do you offer allergen-friendly or lower-sugar options?
Yes. Most of our lemonades are naturally nut-free, and we offer lower-sugar and diabetic-friendly options on request. Some rolled ice cream flavors contain nuts, dairy, or gluten — let us know about any allergies or wellness needs when you book and we'll customize for your crowd.

How much space do you need to set up?
A standard table and a covered area of about 8×8 feet is plenty for the lemonade bar. Outdoor setups appreciate shade for the rolled ice cream station.
How far in advance should we book?
Two to three weeks is ideal for weekends and busy event seasons. Last minute? Reach out anyway — we'll do our best to make it work.
